This Sunday evening, we will conclude our journey through Isaiah 6:1-9, and we will hear about Isaiah’s commission to tell the nation of Israel about the Gospel. How appropriate, as we celebrate that God became man so that we would hear that same message of Reconciliation and Peace.

Our Christmas Eve Service will be held at 5pm in the sanctuary. Children are invited into the service and there will be no morning service. There will be no childcare available.

Sermon Text: Isaiah 6:8-9

Liturgy for Corporate Worship:

Hark The Herald Angels Sing

Luke 2:1-20

O Holy Night (Hear the Gospel Story) by Sovereign Grace Music

A Carol Medley: O Come O Come Emmanuel, It Came Upon The Midnight Clear, The First Noel, O Little Town of Bethlehem

Hallelujah! Christ Is Coming! – Liturgical Folk

The past few Sundays we have been exploring the wealth that is Isaiah chapter 6 and Isaiah’s vision of the throne-room of God. This Sunday, we will examine the solution to the sin of Isaiah. Athanasius, the church father, put the situation this way:

“As, then, the creatures whom He had created reasonable, like the Word, were in fact perishing, and such noble works, were on the road to ruin, what then was God, being Good, to do? Was he to let corruption and death have their way with them?”

The problem of sin and uncleanness is monumental, and requires the intervention of a Good God. Get ready to examine the atoning work of God for his people this Sunday.

Sermon Text: Isaiah 6:6-7

This Sunday we will examine Isaiah’s response to God’s grandeur, when he cries out, “Woe is me!” Why is Isaiah filled with sorrow? Has God done anything to make Isaiah feel this way? Much like seeing the magnificence of a mountain before you, God’s glory puts you in touch with your smallness and your inferiority. Godly grief and repentance are at the heart of this text, so come ready to put that into practice.

Sermon Text: Isaiah 6:5

Liturgy for Corporate Worship:

Isaiah 40:1-11

Be Thou My Vision

Mark 1:1-8

Come Thou Long Expected Jesus – Red Mountain Church

Nothing But The Blood – The Austin Stone Worship

Hallelujah! Christ Is Coming! – Liturgical Folk

O Come All Ye Faithful – Shane & Shane

During December, we will be taking a break from the book of Matthew in order to turn our attention more specifically to the birth of Jesus and his return. We will be looking at the Gospel and the saving work of Christ through the lens of Isaiah 6:1-9.

This Sunday, we will delve into understanding the Holiness of God. When the seraphs flew and cried out, “Holy, holy holy is the Lord of hosts” what did they mean? Get ready to explore what it means for God to be set apart.
