Our Beliefs

Our mission: Harvest Church exists to glorify God by joyfully making disciples of all nations with the gospel, in community, on mission both locally and globally.

Harvest Church rallies around 3 core values:

Worship Jesus

Everything we do at Harvest Church is shaped by the good news of Christ’s death in the place of sinners in order to bring them into relationship with God. The gospel not only brings us into relationship with God but fuels our growth in relationship with Him.

Love the Church

When God saves individuals through gospel, He saves them to a family, and therefore, we strive to be this family, living in intentional, gospel-saturated relationships with one another.

Reach the World

We worship a God who sought us out in order to bring us to Himself, and therefore, we desire to embody this same mindset as we make disciples of all nations, both locally and globally.

Below you can find our core beliefs and statement of faith documents, in PDF form.

Our Leadership

Harvest Church is an elder-led congregation, with deacons that have been called to lead by serving in various areas of ministry. Our elder-pastor team consists of three men: Matthew Poole, Drew Raynor, and Matt Bishop. We currently have four deacons.

Our Story

Harvest Church is a new church on an old property proclaiming the timeless truth of hope, life, joy and salvation in Jesus Christ. Our journey as a church began, in some ways, in the early spring of 2014 as we decided to plant a church. After much prayer, counsel and consideration, the western Wake County area became the primary area of focus for this future work.

God surprisingly provided us with an amazing facility which previously belonged to North Cary Baptist Church and sits just west of I-40 in Cary. In late spring 2014, we began a process of walking with the remaining North Cary Baptist congregation through a journey that would see North Cary Baptist Church officially dissolve. A handful of its former members joined forces with a team of people from Imago Dei Church in North Raleigh to plant Harvest Church Cary.

As a faith family committed to loving Jesus and loving the people of our community, Harvest Church now stands ready to be the hands and feet of Jesus to the people around us. A story of redemption, Harvest Church is a glaring indicator that God’s ways are not our ways and his thoughts are not our thoughts and he truly does desire to do far more in and through us than we could ever ask or imagine. We are thrilled about the way God is growing our faith family and using us to reach those in need of the gospel around us.
